The obesity problem is starting with children; are you suggesting elementary school kids are smoking so much pot they can't stop eating?

No I wasn't suggesting that.

Part of the problem is the cut of Physical Education programs. Also blame PS3, XBOX & Wii for the childhood obesity.

The Obesity & Pot smoking was a joke as have had neighbors smoke & thanks to them had a bad case of munchies

Ahhhh, I see from your profile that you are from Connecticut. That explains a lot.

I've been to CT. and got the he!! out of there as soon as I could. You ever been to Washington?

Didn't think so. Ignorance is so unbecoming on most people - but expected of people from CT.

After traveling to Spain, California, North Carolina, and Virginia (especially North Carolina and Virginia) I do realize that we Northeasterners are not the friendliest, and most polite, people in the world, so your point is well taken.

You are correct. I never have been fortunate enough to have been to the Evergreen State. From what I understand it's a beautiful place, with those majestic Olympic Mountains, and one of the most beautiful temperate rainforests in the world.

If you truly lack a sense of humor, then I will gladly go back and delete my posts. Maybe those from the Beaver State, like Mark Padgett, have a slightly better sense of humor than those from the other state in their region?

While I admit that I don't have the greatest sense of humor in the world, I will say that's it's not bad. Not as highly developed as Snaqs or M&M, but I'm getting there.

But my question would be - how in the world is one to know that you are joking when you make comments about other people being pot-smokers or tree-huggers? Those are both fairly insulting comments around here, and without the use of a smilie or something (I know, you say you aren't "that type of guy") one can only figure that you are trying to be insulting.

If you aren't, then you should try to figure out a way to let people know that in your posts.

I never 'smileyed' my posts while living in VT when the subject was flatlanders. On any bulletin board or forum. My only question is this: Will I reach a 10 second count before this thread is locked?

Research has shown that having a good sense of humor is directly proportional to a person's height. That just illustrates another reason why your ex-supervisor was so disappointed with your...um...shortcomings.

Just another in a long list of personality flaws, Rocky.

Please take this critique in the positive way that it was meant to be, ShortAzz.

Cheaters Never Prosper ...

Are you accusing a former esteemed member of using steroids?

Point well taken. However, after 5,500 plus posts, most Forum members know that I have never (except one time, and only one time, with Old School) been purposely insulting. I pride myself on my politeness and tolerance. My parents raised me right, God bless them.

However (again) if someone moved here from Mars and just joined the Forum, then he, or she, certainly might think that I was posting insulting remarks. But I'll have to take that chance, because, as I said earlier, like 26 Year Gap, I'm not a blue font, or smilie, kind of guy.
