Thumbs up Hey - we got a raise

Last night at our local kids rec league Board meeting, the Board approved an increase in game fees for the experienced refs. 3rd through 8th grade games went up by $4 and HS games went up $5. Of course, all the refs on the Board abstained.

Now I can afford to make that final payment on my yacht.

Who needs collective bargaining when you can secure raises like that?

Lucky you Mark!

Due to school budget reasons, OSAA pay rates are frozen & they cut the mileage rate back this year as well. Won't see anything this year, and probably not next year.

Tim - do you work any rec leagues here in the Portland area? The ref coordinator who oversees the refs in our local kids rec league is in PBOA. Plus, Will Davis, who schedules refs for the 3 Rivers Youth League, now also has the contract for the new HoopSource leagues. My point is - there's plenty of rec league action all season long and also in the fall and spring.

And.....you don't even have to work Wreck ball to get tons of games.

Congrats Mark!

We haven't gotten a raise in my Rec leagues for many yrs. But, they pay me ok, my games are really close, and I'm not in it for the money anyhow (while it doesn't hurt).

Besides, I don't own a yacht!
