Camcorder Recommendation?

Want to buy a camcorder to use for post-game analysis, but know less than zero about them.
After games, I'd like to be able to either transfer what was shot to DVD or download it to my laptop.
I'll be testing whatever I get at camp at the end of June.
Does anyone have any recommendations as to brand, model, etc.?

Freddy,
I can't give you brands, b/c the are pretty much the same. I can give you some pointers of features to look for based on a purchase, for a different reason, last year.
Length of recording time. Some HD's (hard drives) can hold a lot more information than an SD/mini card. Make sure how much video time each can hold. It can vary by camera. Most games take about 2 hours, but I would make sure you can store AT LEAST 3 hours on either the HD or SD
Also battery life. Some gyms may not have an outlet to plug your camera in to. Plus whoever is filming may not want to be up by the people recording the game for their respective schools.
I would recommend downloading to your computer or other hard drive ASAP as the amount of recording time may be exceeded if you keep your games on there
IMO, the most important feature is the PAUSE function. I found that on some models if you hit PAUSE it ends that segment of recording and when you hit PLAY another segment begins. This means that at the end of the game instead of having a 1 nice neat video file of your game, you have about a dozen, and they are NO FUN to try to stitch together.
Hope that helps. And remember no matter what you buy it will be outdated by Christmas!!
