It's funny, cause when I was still playing military ball I used to think staring down a ref accomplished something. Now I realize I looked like an idiot. I now ref with those guys I sillily thought I was intimidating.

They seem to forget that if you could be that easily intimidated, you wouldn't have been assigned to that game in the first place.

I've always felt that the best response to this particular tactic was....nothing. Blank look. That seems to infuriate some of them even more. And it sureasheck also doesn't give them anything that they can complain about later.
