Double Dribble?

Agree....at least 96.475% of the time it's just knocking the pass to the floor without establishing player control while doing so. Same concept as tipping the ball to yourself on a rebound.

That why I was a little skeptical about the call. When I played I considered the bat a dribble and didn't dribble a second time. This one was like I said he was thrown a pass and he batted it to the floor then picked the ball up and started a dribble. He handled the bat well and stayed in balance, it wasn't one of those bat and run after it scenerios

While I've called it this year, it's the only time I ever remember calling it and was more instinctual. Even though it looked controlled to me, and "felt" like a dribble, I'd rather have that one back.

I definately agree it is one of those "iffy" calls.

I have both, but I still don't know the significance of the bat on the bib. Yeah, I know he's "dribbling" out of both nostrils - hence the "double dribble", but why a bat? Unless....it anticipated this thread. Yeah - that's it.
