He was woozy, but otherwise OK!

How could you tell? ;)

Just kidding coaches....ok, maybe not so much.

VB game last night and the opportunity presented itself for me to WHACK a coach, and I obliged. Only my second T to a coach. Somehow, it felt good and very natural..... :)

My senior P (30 yrs officiating) said it was a good call and said, "way to take care of bidness." That's my kind of P. Good stuff!

Good job, Grune. I whacked four coaches this season including one that came about five feet on to the court to scream at me after making a call he didn't like...while I was working by myself. No sympathy from me on that one. He was about half a second from getting a second because he was refusing to sit down.

As soon as I went down after letting out a blood-curdling scream, I had several people by my side. I ended up near the home bench, between the sideline & the 3-pt. line, Thankfully I didn't hit my head or back.

Originally the halftime was a 10 minute halftime, it got extended to being about 30 minutes.

I've heard in some western states that an entry onto the court would be a T for not being beckoned ! :p (same for the ambulance crew )

Would that make them non-military?

Nah, it would just unionize them. :p

The upside is - the military in DC wouldn't have to come to work on days it snows! Count me in! ;)

Chance of working regionals

Depending on what happens with my training schedule for the US Census Bureau, I may or may not be working the ConAgra Foods/LambWeston 4A Regional Basketball Tournament on February 26 & 27.

From the sounds of it, I would be doing timer operations. So I'd be sitting at the scorers' table.

I wear many hats.

I assisted with the 2000 Census as a Non-Response Followup Enumerator & Group Quarters Enumerator.

So far, for the 2010 Census, I assisted with the Address Canvassing Operation.

Can I file a complaint with you then over the gratuitous waste of our tax dollars on the stupid commercials, including the ones aired during the Super Bowl? I'd appreciate it if you bumped it up the chain.

You could just count the people in the crowd as you control them.

Haha, I am not that far up in the chain.

A lot of people are making complaints about the commercials. In the long run, what they're trying to do is save tax payers' money by getting more people to mail their initial questionnaires in. Instead of having to send out the NRFU Enumerators to make house calls.

Concerning the 4A Regionals, I just found out there's going to be a few 3A Regional games to be played on Saturday at the same site.

Each person must be counted according to their residence.

This time around, everyone is getting the short form (10 questions).
