Derrick Roland & Texas A&M

If you get the opportunity send out your best wishes & prayers to Derrick Roland & the Texas A&M Aggies.

On Tuesday Night during the Texas A&M-University of Washington Game in Seattle, during the 2nd half of the game senior Derrick Roland went for an easy rebound & on his way down he broke his Tibia & Fibula in his right leg. The game was suspended for abpout 10 minutes while he was attended to & taken via ambulance to Harborview Medical Center. Later that evening he went through a 75-minute surgery to insert pins & rods to mend his leg. He's doing better now, but his future is basketball right now is uncertain.

He's expected to be released from Harborview today & be flown back down to Texas via a chartered medical flight.

During this holiday season, let's remember both him, his teammates, & family during this trying time.

Last report I read was that either tonight or tomorrow morning he'll be back in Texas.

I was watching the game on TV live when his leg broke. You could hear the crack on TV.

Oh man, what a break. Did you see how that leg was bent? Man you hate to see something like that. Hope he recovers fully and can come back.

I'm kinda surprised that Fox Sports even showed it on TV.

According to some of the reports, I've read he's had previous leg injuries which required pins in his leg.

That could explain why his leg broke easily that night. I was really confused as to how the hell it seemed like he just jumped and then CRACK!, his leg breaks in half.

Back in Texas

Sometime yesterday, Derrick returned to College Station, Texas via a chartered medical transport.
