It's a shirt, not a sleeve. Nothing in the rules prohibit the length of the sleeves (as you noted) nor the fit of the shirt.

I'd have no problem with a kid wearing a compression undershirt in my game.

It should also be the same color as the torso of the jersey

Agree. This is an undershirt, not a sleeve. The rules restrict the color but not the length of sleeves on undershirts.

Yeah, color and all was fine. I was just a dumb@$$, over-thinking stuff in the first game of the season when I should have just used common sens!!

Was it one solid color? Was any manufacture logo visible?
If two colors or logo visible, then the undershirt is not legal.

So then the player grabs a scissors from the first aid kit, cuts off the sleeves, wears only the sleeves, calls them compression sleeves, says they're for medical reasons, and legally wears them. I don't believe that there are any color, or logo, restrictions for compression sleeves worn for medical reasons, nor do I believe that a doctor's note is required.
