Thanks to those who helped with the questions I was not completely sure of I really appreciated your help. It's nice to know there are fellow officials out there that doesn't feel they are too good or intimidated by a new younger official to lend a hand or give instruction. As for Freddy, I learned something about you without even meeting you. You would do much better at writing sayings for fortune cookies than officiating basketball since you where able to write one instead of answering a question. Once again to the others thanks for your help. I hope to see you on the court someday.

What I was hoping you'd learn is to be able first to dig into the rulebook so as to more fully "own" the answer to the questions you were asking. I'm all for seeking assistance in understanding; I've done so many times here on this board. But I'm been taught to be even more an advocate of each official being able to discover where the answer is in the rule book on his/her own. After that, further understanding is always available from everyone here.
