A gentleman.
Not that many years ago [early 90's?], Marques Haynes showed U.P. at Michigan Tech with, I think, the Harlem Wizards.
After the game, the Wizards came out to sign autographs, but Marques stayed off the court. I walked around the stands and knocked on his door. He told me to come in and I was able to shake his hand and to thank that gracious man for doing what he did. I was thankful for that moment.

Good story Mick.
I met Curly Neal and Meadowlark Lemon when I was about 13 or 14 when they came through our local area with the Globetrotters. Nice as could be with HUGE smiles! These guys appeared to love the game .......in spite of the grind.
