You're assuming there are rules in the NBE. Seriously, those officials in the playoffs aren't going to call something that marginal in a playoff game. Besides, I really don't know if in that league, they can do that on the release just like the players along the lane. I'm sure someone will look it up.

BTW - last weekend, in a spring league boys V game, A1 was at the line to shoot one. Coach A pulled all his other players over to the bench to talk with them so the only players on the lane were the four from team B. The shot hit the front of the rim, bounced directly back to A1 who put it back in. The team B players were just shaking their heads.
