Double Dribble?

Player is dribble to basket with right hand ... the ball hits a dead spot and bounces funny. Player over-runs the ball by a bout a half step then returns and continues dribble.

Do we have anything here?

Doesn't seem like it.

Did the player allow the ball to come to rest in one hand?
Did the player touch the ball simultaneously with both hands?

If the answer is no to both of those, I can't see what the problem would be.

Oh yeah, there's the "it looks funny so it has to be illegal" contingent.

Not a pretty dribble, but still dribbling. Nothing.

Buckle your seatbelt, because now that it's the offseason, you're in for a wild ride. Or, you may want to come back in November.

I hope it's better and not as nasty/mean as the last off season.

Good advice Billy!

I'm sure those officials in the WNBA love that mindset by most people. Keeps their year round officiating job more secure with less officials trying to get there. It sure would be nice to only officiate D1 and then WNBA and not have to get a real job.
Or be like Dave Hall who refs a million games and runs a million camps and never has to work a real job.

Well, my first camp starts this Friday so maybe something interesting will happen there.

Hey. Maybe I can liven things up by posting lots, and I mean lots, of off topic, and I mean really off topic, images. Yeah. Sounds like a plan. Maybe I can sneak them in when the moderators aren't paying attention.
