Baylor V Texas

Ed Hightower just got plowed over and dumped into the Baylor bench on a loose ball scramble. I believe the crash involved #34 Pittman of TX (Big Boy!)... Stay tuned for replays.

Correction: #5 TX Damon?

Collision broke Hightower's whistle.

The PBP and color guys kept talking about the "pea" in Hightower's whistle. Something tells me they're stuck in 1975. (Or whenever Fox 40's came out..I have no idea)

Hightower might still have a whistle from back then.

You're kidding, you mean there is not supposed to be a pea in my whistle? Darn, I wondered where it went!

Well then, I think they overcharged me!

I'm going back to my Acme Thunderer.

PS - You expect announcers to know anything about officiating?

Anyone see Hightower's HOLD call under the basket in the second half?

Two players tusseled and the Baylor player, on the floor, was called for the holding foul.

Talk about emphatic! Wow! He announced it and demonstrated it a whole bunch of times!! Talk about selling the call!!! And no one argued or chirped, not even the player on the floor......

He called a IMO a cheap chucking the cutter call in the 2nd half against a Baylor player and he made it into a Broadway production.

That's probably the play. Very dramatic!

Sometimes a whistle just has to pea.
