Shoot or pass or request a timeout or violate or foul.

I think that's it.

Make a try for goal or pass the ball.

ART. 2 . . . A player, who catches the ball while moving or dribbling, may stop, and establish a pivot foot as follows:

a. If both feet are off the floor and the player lands:

1. Simultaneously on both feet, either foot may be the pivot.
2. On one foot followed by the other, the first foot to touch is the pivot.
3. On one foot, the player may jump off that foot and simultaneously land on both. Neither foot can be a pivot in this case.

b. If one foot is on the floor:
1. It is the pivot when the other foot touches in a step.
2. The player may jump off that foot and simultaneously land on both. Neither foot can be a pivot in this case.

....edit... or request a timeout

He may jump or lift one foot (I think) prior to shooting or passing or requesting timeout. No foot may return to the floor once lifted, however, without violating.

I highlighted the relevant part.

Obviously neither foot can be a pivot. Meaning the player may legally shoot, pass, or request a timeout. Or stand there.

Indiana, the OP is off one foot land on two feet.
Your post is not relevant here
the player can pass, shoot, violate, or foul, as JDW stated.

to violate would be to lift either foot and replace it on the floor before passing or shooting.

I had a partner last week who made the call when the player lifted the foot off the floor, kind of reminded me of an old ketchup comercial, we were never able to determine what the player was going to do so we had to go IW.

How is his post not relevant when it's the rule that covers the situation?

JDW highlighted the relevant part. Billy Mac posts the rules all the time without any grief.
