I was watching an NBAtv game, triple ot between the jazz and suns. I was like geez there are some strange calls going on here. A few were calls that could go either way like a close out of bounds call. After 10 minutes I saw that Tim Donaghy was one of the refs. I can't recall if one team was being favored or not but every game he has done will be viewed with suspicion.

Including violations and non-violations, fouls and non-fouls, three or not three points, and so on, I'd say in an average HS game I have one of these decisions every 4-6 seconds. That's 12 decisions a minute, and 48 minutes in an NBA game, so 576. 15 wrong out of 576 is a 97.4% accuracy level. That's pretty darn good, in my humble opinion.

If we assume that EACH of the three officials have 12 calls per minute, the total number of calls is actually 1728 calls during the game. 15 mistakes gets one up to 99.99994% -- OK, kidding, but over 99%.....

I would think that in an NBA game, the decisions are even more frequent due to the fact that the 24 second shot creates a bit more action. Never mind the fact that the clock stops after baskets late in the quarter, inbounds after time outs are in the front court, etc.
