Question We report - you decide. No - not Fox news - thank goodness.

A buddy and I were discussing the most insignificant stuff about the game and he wanted to know if I usually referred to the two lines on the ends of the court as endlines or baselines. I told him I usually said "baseline". He said he usually says "endline". We made a bet over which term is used most. The loser has to work a game and refer to both coaches as "Sir" (or "Ma'am" as the occasion dictates) the entire game!

Which term do you guys use? And don't skew your answers just to see me lose. I will find you and you will be sorry.

Hey - I said it was insignificant stuff.

I am a baseline guy. Not sure if that's a good thing since you also do it

I use endline for the home bench side and baseline for the vistors bench side.

I say baseline. To make this truly an impartial poll, you should remove your selection from the OP...just a suggestion...

I refer to it as a baseline . . . but I also make frequent references to bankboard.

Shouldn't this be an official official poll? Otherwise it's not scientific.

Baseline guy here. I don't know if I've ever had a partner use endline. I'm only a two year guy tho...

End line (Rule 1-2). I think the baseline is the bottom of the square "target" on the backboard, although I can't find it in the book right now.

I use endline when talking to uptight refs so I'm not considered a moron.

Among everyone else, I use baseline.
