Question We report - you decide. No - not Fox news - thank goodness.

A buddy and I were discussing the most insignificant stuff about the game and he wanted to know if I usually referred to the two lines on the ends of the court as endlines or baselines. I told him I usually said "baseline". He said he usually says "endline". We made a bet over which term is used most. The loser has to work a game and refer to both coaches as "Sir" (or "Ma'am" as the occasion dictates) the entire game!

Which term do you guys use? And don't skew your answers just to see me lose. I will find you and you will be sorry.

Hey - I said it was insignificant stuff.

I use endline for the home bench side and baseline for the vistors bench side.

That's funny...I use baseline for the home bench end and endline for the visitor bench end.

Actually, I use baseline when talking to non-officials, like friends, my son and his teammates, etc...I use endline when talking basketball with other officials. Not sure why, and didn't even realize it until now.

I say baseline. To make this truly an impartial poll, you should remove your selection from the OP...just a suggestion...

I refer to it as a baseline . . . but I also make frequent references to bankboard.
