"15 incorrect calls"
In the Jan '09 issue of REFEREE, there is an article titled, "The Pedowitz Report Q & A" about the NBA's review of the league's officiating program following the Tim Donaghy story. Question 8 stated, "In his trial proceedings, Donaghy contested that a 2002 game six Western Conference finals playoff game (Sacramento vs. Los Angeles) was manipulated by the officials as directed by the league. What did the report conclude?" Answer: "According to the report, the game was not manipulated in any fashion. The officials on the game (Dick Bavetta, Bob Delaney and Ted Bernhardt) were interviewed at length. According to a review of the game listed in the report, 'There were a total of 15 incorrect calls and non-calls in the game. The bulk of the game's incorrect calls and non-calls occurred during the first three quarters. So of these 15 errors, eight favored the Lakers while seven favored the Kings.' ...'"
3-man crew of some of the most experienced officials anywhere and they documented "15 incorrect calls" in one game. Thoughts?
