In both cases the shot is worth three points.

The location of a player is determined by where he/she was last in contact with the floor. If a player jumps from beyond the three point line and while airborne obtains control of the ball, any try for goal attempted by this player before he/she touched the floor would be a three point try.

And in twenty years when the "next" Lebron hits the nba, he leaves the floor beyond the arc and dunks?

Under the current ruleset, that's a 3 as well.

And something I'd like to see.

Coach, I will share my son's NBA salary with you in twenty years if you loan me some money today? (I'll gladly pay you tomorrow for a hamburger today! )
