Citation Please ???
Sure? A1 has the ball for a throwin under his own basket. A1 passes the ball, that hits B1, who is standing on the out of bounds sideline (off the confines of the playing court) near the division line. Where do you inbound the ball, and by the way, whose ball? Maybe I'm just confused by your phrase "within the confines of the playing court"?

And, just so it is clear, where is it this week? At the spot of the OOB violation where it should be??

If the throw-in goes out of bounds untouched, the ball is awarded to the opponents of the thrower at the spot of the original throw-in.
If the throw-in pass is caught by a player while that player is standing out of bounds, the ball is awarded to the opponents of the player who caught the ball at the spot where the player caught the ball. |
