Inbounding after a T
Team A has completed their two shots for an awarded T. Team A will now inbound the ball.
Q. Is there anytime that the ball would be inbounded at any place on the court other than the Division Line?

Intentional or flagrant are at the spot nearest the foul. Technical is division line throw-in.

Assuming you mean NF rules, was there any particular reason you asked? Did you see something else happen in a game? Just curious.

As Mark alluded to, the NCAA rules are different when it comes to T's. Most of the time in NCAA, after the T, the game is resumed at the point of interruption.

In the NBA, following a technical, the ball is inbounded at the spot giving the best camera angle.

Rule 8-5-2 states the throw-in following a technical is on the side opposite the table. I'm sure the original thinking was to stay away from the coaches after a technical.

The original, original thinking allowed the ball the be thrown in, after a technical foul, on either side of the division line. I don't remember if it was the decision of the official, captain, or coach. Ask Mark T. DeNucci, Sr. He helped Dr. Naismith make up the original rules. I believe that the rule changed about twenty-years ago. You can ask Mark T. DeNucci, Sr. about that also.

College used to be either side on the division line. I dont know if that is still the circumstance
