another BC violation??

player A1 dives to gain loose ball and slides across mid court line so that legs are on the floor in back court and hips and upper body in front court. no defender near.
To make a pass to a team mate A2 coming from the back court the player lifts legs off the ground and passes to A2 who is jumping from back court to front court.

violation?

Yes. If A1 is touching both BC and FC, A1 is in the BC. When A1 is touching only the FC, A1 is in the FC. Passing the ball to a player in the BC is a violation.

I would call a BC violation as he has FC status

Okay, what if A1 lifts his legs, briefly, then sets them back down?

I would say the same - violation.

Had BC status, when he lifted his legs he gets FC status. Putting them back down would be BC status. Violation.

That's easy, we now get the opportunity to make that new call.
