This is a game-interrupter, imvho. Let the play go to keep the flow and momentum where it is deserved: with the players.

I was at Phil Bova's camp in '99 and it was there that I first heard of killing the play to fix the "swish". Sure, I did that mechanic for the rest of the tournament, then quickly forgot it on the way home. $0.02
