Summer League Hmmmm......
Ask partner. They might not want to switch on fouls. You could fall into using sloppy mechanics. Sloppy mechanics does not mean sloppy game. Call the game like a real game.

Let us know how you did. I remember my first game like it was yesterday. My very first game as an official other than some YMCA 3rd grade games was a JV Boys game between two 5A schools. It was JV at the highest level and I was scared to death!

I remember my first foul call, and my co-official gave me the thumbs up. I still at that time wondered how I would ever last the entire four quarters! There was a play where a kid fell down with the ball and I froze and did not blow the whistle! Other than that, I survived. It continued to get better and better. Now, just about every game I do is fun and that is what is important.

OK so my first high school game was a success my assigner was really impressed with the skills i had and gave me lots of praise. I tried my best to stay in position and blow my side. Although i do rememebr asking him for help once i didnt feel i did a bad job calling that game. Other than that it was great. He already hooked me up with 17 games in the next month. (i must have done something right

To you young guys (-25) that are doing college, where do you live, and how have you climbed the ladder so quickly. In southern California, it takes a lot of time to start doing college ball.
