OK, thanks. Now, please tell me, can I "embed" a still image (photo) from a website on the internet? If so, how? I've only been able to post the link, not the actual photos, so that Froum members have to click on the link to see the photos.

Please no wise cracks. I already know that I'm the most computer illiterate member on the Forum. It took me months, after several very sarcastic posts from Forum members, to figure out how to properly "quote" something without using copy and paste. I still can't figure out how to post quotes from more than one post.

I'm also thinking about learning how to use the Forum spellcheck. Has anyone encountered any problem with the software. I'm always concerned about downloading software from the internet, viruses, trojans, phishing, etc.

My colleagues at work make fun of me when I'm typing at my work station computer. I learned how to type on a manual, not electric, typewriter. As a result, I bang on my computer keyboard extra hard.

The really odd thing is that half the time you comment that you can't figure out how to embed an image, but there's an image in that very post. You know, like the one above. I can't decide if you're wisecracking, or serious and just got lucky.

You're right. I am confused. The way the "image" shows up on my computer is as a link (a series of numbers and letters) that I must click on to actually see the photo or image. Rarely, but sometimes, a post will show up on my computer with the actual image in the post. I believe the last time this happened was with a thread about official's shoes.

I'm not wisecracking. I'm serious, and still confused????

Billy - Without getting overly "geekish", how you view things depends on your system and network.

If you're at a govt facility or a work network it may appear differently then if you're at home using dial up, cable modem, DSL, or a home network, etc.

If you're using a differnt version of Windows Explorer or Firefox, or a MAC vs a PC, or XP vs Vista, there may be differences.....
