Good luck!

My worst was five in a row. This was in the evening after an afternoon of scorekeeping for two D-I varsity games. Wasn't so much the body that was tired, but the mind.

Now, I try to not work more than 3 games back-to-back.

I've gotten used to it over the years. I really don't like to do more than 5...the mind get's tired...

Finally, some good news, I think. In looking over the entire day's schedule (which is posted on RefTown, Camron Rust's excellent scheduling website), there are three gyms listed at that HS for games this weekend. The school has only two gyms, the "big" gym and a smaller one. I think that means the "big" gym will be split into two floors. This has happened before for this kind of tourney. That means I probably will be working on a floor that's only about 65% of standard HS size. Every little bit helps.

Every little bit helps Mark!

My longest day was a few years back when I was still doing CYO. Their new interim assigner (volleyball guy, knows squat about basketball) gave me 8 straight "A" level 7th & 8th grade games on a full size HS floor....oh and did I mention that he forgot to assign me a partner. When I was finally able to get ahold of him after game 3, he didn't seem to think it was any big deal, but said he'd try to find me some help - someone finally showed up to help with the last two. This ding-a-ling screwed up by the numbers throughout the season, then was hired to do the job permanently because of "the great job he did" - which is why I and a bunch of others no longer work CYO........
