Don't jinx it, Nevada.

Hell - Sox are up 11-2 now, and I'm still worried that Cleveland could come back and win it.

JD Drew may have earned his way into Boston's hearts tonight. I'm still shocked to see it (and a bit upset it took this long to happen).

So we had the Manny & Ortiz show the past few days, tonight was the everyone-else show. Hopefully tomorrow, we can get everyone working.

12-2 now. Still not willing to put the game in the bag. Even with Drew going 3-5 with 5 RBI.

Final thought - the Sox better bring back Lowell next year.

You guys STILL talking baseball? Based on some numbers I read this morning about total viewers for the playoffs, you guys probably represent 60% of the ratings!

As a follow-up, Gagne is now coming into the game.

Cleveland could get 15 runs in the next five minutes.

Okay, Dexter, off to bed. Tomorrow could be even more tense.

Another one outed......

Great timing for this story to pop.......

http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/articl....DTL&type=news

Wonder what his excuse is gonna be?

Gee, I see that 2 prescriptions were written by his dentist. I didn't know HGH was needed for strong, healthy teeth.

Many more to come also from ll over MLB if the rumors are true......

Congrats. Boston has definitely made my "team I dislike the most" list. Especially that little $hit Pedroia.

They better not lose to Colorado. Good luck.

My Red Sox did it...

...by winning the ALCS. Now to finish the job vs. the Rockies and win no.7.

Chuck,
I'd like to say congratulations. Again, I would like to say that, but I'm a little bitter and sick about the $ the Sox cost me tonight.

Well, Dice-K didn't pitch great, but they were good enough. He never seemed to really dominate, but got them through 5. Westbrook, on the other hand, seemed to actually get better from the 4th-6th innings. He was making the Sox look bad. But Okajima was great in the 6th and 7th. Couldn't get anybody out in the 8th, but he really is a 2-inning guy, max. And Pap was lights-out for two innings when they really needed it. On the other hand, when Westbrook started to struggle (Wedge probably left him in too long), the Indians bullpen just poured gas on the fire.

Pedroia really did have a great night, when Ortiz had a bad one.

Was anybody else laughing out loud at McCarver for carping incessantly about how both teams should've had pitchers warming in the bullpen in the first inning and a half? He kept talking about 'how long are you going to leave them in when they start to struggle', and both starters went at least 5 innings. He can be such a putz sometimes.

7 down. 4 to go.

I have actaully watched some sports with the volume on mute, to avoid these goofs.

Learned that trick from a friend of mine.

Stat of the series - in each of Boston's 3 losses, the starting pitcher went 4.2 innings.

In each of Boston's 4 wins, the starting pitcher went 5.0 or more.

I'm going to root for the Rockies because they are a fantastic story and like seeing that kind of stuff happen, and one other reason--now what was that?... Oh yeah, $.
