#1.) Serena is not a little girl. #2.) You don't hackle women in there work environment, there's a code. It's kind of a slippery slop to let men have this type of advantage over women. If a women feels insecure about a man hackling her, that could be a big problem for the host.

However, I understand exactly what you mean by it's a harsh world we live in. That be the way it is.....however, there are some people who don't believe the world is harsh when they are on the other side of the insults. Ain't that right BackInTheSaddle or Mr.MTD.

Exclamation

'[Winton] was . . . making a player feel uncomfortable, and we have no tolerance for that,'' Barrett said. ``Serena and her camp felt it was racially motivated, so it made it more serious and . . . we err on the side of the player or guest who feels uncomfortable.''
If only Chris Webber knew about this provision when he called that excessive time-out during the '93 NCAA D-I Championship game. All those fans yelling and screaming surely made him feel uncomfortable, they should have reset the clock to err on the side of the player....who was visibly uncomfortable.
"By the time stadium security approached Winton, the match had ended and he was in the hallway. He was questioned, escorted off the grounds by Miami-Dade police and issued a no-trespass warning. Tennis, like other sports, is not immune to heckling. But fans deemed to go too far are kicked out."
Nice of them to at least watch the entire match so he could get the full value of his ticket. FYI: Most fans who are deemed to go to far are kicked out in every sport, I'm not sure if the sport of Tennis knew that.

Actually if we want to get technical here, the article states: "Fans and security confirmed a man heckled Williams inappropriately, tournament director Adam Barrett said."
How does one heckle appropriately?

I don't watch much tennis so I don't know one Williams sister from the other, but since she claims she heard rude comments from the stands she must not be the one who does all the grunting after every stroke.

I'm on the fence on this one; I don't tolerate fans making comments to players in any sport at the HS level. But Williams is a grown woman in a world where common sense and common courtesy are growing less common by the day. As long as the "fan" wasn't making vulgar or racist comments, I say "get over it" (unless, of course, it says specifically on the contract [ie., admission ticket] that such behavior is punishable by expulsion).

Right. It's the Code of Hammurabai. That code says that if you try to hackle wimmen, you're liable to lose your cockle.
