I believe that he "invented" the jump stop just as much as I believe that Al Gore "invented" the internet.

Well, if you saw Hoosiers, we actually dressed like that when I started out:
- black and white striped long-sleeved broadcloth shirt, buttoned at the wrists(never rolled-up sleeves).
- gray, cuffed pants with a black belt.
-white gym socks
-white shoes (you couldn't find good black ones: I wore Converse canvas hi-tops).
- Acme Thunderer whistles.

We were funny looking.
