Intentional FOul
As the clock is winding down to end the 3rd Quarter, A1 is driving on an open break towards the basket. As he goes up for a layup, he is grabbed from behind by B1 as time expires, and the layup is missed. Official calls an intentional foul. A1 is awarded 2 FTs to end the quarter. Possession arrow belongs to B.
Is the throw-in to begin the 4th quarter awarded to A because of the intentional foul to end the quarter, or is it given to B because of the arrow? |

No penalty or part of a penalty carries over form one quarter or extra period to the next. It's B's ball to begin the 4th because they have the arrow.
