The Offseason begins

Wrapped up a great season last night. The coaches coached, the players played....and the fans fanned.

Im going cold turkey it seems....My next "gig" is camp unless I pick up some AAU. Whew - 3-5x a week for 15 weeks to now...nothin! Honey-dos and taxes here I come.

Start the off-season by watching as much of the post-season as possible! It's a good way to wind down the year, mull over what to work on during the coming months and you get to watch some good crews.

Must've been a warm gym?

I've got one more tonight, with a possibility of another this weekend. But every year I go through the same "withdrawal". Usually though, the weather is starting to break and it's easier to start thinking about being outside this time of year. But this year we still have snow on the ground, and a possibility of flurries before the end of the week, so it will still seem too much like basketball season. I'm sure my wife will want me back out of the house before too long...

Sounds like a great way to end a season. My last 2 games went down to the wire, both decided right at the buzzer. Now I have a community I work for often wanting me to come help with a kid's tournament over the weekend. I hate to say no to these people, but I also hate working kiddie ball.

I've been looking forward to the off season for about a month now. Not that I didn't enjoy my season, but after football, the 4 days a week gone was starting to get to me.

I'm spending my off season on projects around the house and conditioning. I'll probably do the standard 3-5 camps, and I have a football clinic in about a month.
