violation?

A1 has the ball on the dribble. A1 picks up the ball and is being pressured by B1. A1 pivots and drops the ball (appeared to be inadvertent), takes 2 steps and regains control of the ball.....any violation?

No violation!!!

You can always pick up a fumble. It would only be a violation if the player dribbled again. If the ball was knocked out of the hand of A1, then A1 could dribble again.

Peace

If the ball was intentionally dropped, then that is a controlled act and this is a dribble. In this case, it would be a second dribble, thus a violation.

If the ball unintentionally slips from the player's grasp, that is a fumble and the player may recover the ball without penalty.
