violation?
A1 has the ball on the dribble. A1 picks up the ball and is being pressured by B1. A1 pivots and drops the ball (appeared to be inadvertent), takes 2 steps and regains control of the ball.....any violation?

No violation!!!
You can always pick up a fumble. It would only be a violation if the player dribbled again. If the ball was knocked out of the hand of A1, then A1 could dribble again.
Peace
