Totally off topic, but funny

There's a supermarket near my house that lets its employees wear football jerseys on weekends during the season. I was there this morning, and when I was in the check-out line, I noticed the cashier (a cute girl in her 20s) had a note taped to her name tag that read, " Sorry - I have laryngitis and cannot speak."

There were two young guys in line ahead of me buying beer (a lot of it) and chips. Obviously, they were going to the library. :-)

One of them saw her tag and said, "Oh, you can't speak, huh?" She nodded in the affirmative. He pointed to his case of beer and asked her if she liked beer. Again, she nodded. He then said, "Let me see if I have this straight. You like beer, you like football (alluding to her jersey), you're cute, you have a job and you can't talk. You're the perfect woman. WILL YOU MARRY ME?"

Before I could crack up, his buddy elbowed him and said, "Ask her if she owns her own car."

It was a Kodak moment.
