This might be a little off-topic, and I'm afraid, based on how busy things are around here, that no-one will ever read this but ok... I'll take a chance... I saw this on the gmcgriff soccer board and (since I don't believe it has been posted here before) I have to share it with you .

Since the direct URL doesn't seem to work, I'll just post a link to the gmcgriff board...

http://www.gmcgriff.com/refonline/ww...ssages/67.html

Once you are there click 'funny soccer referee'... I'm sure that you'll all feel that you're mechanics will be very boring

Shouldn't that quote say "pranced" instead of walked.....?

After watching this I feel like I have just watched our mechanics of the future. I will start practicing today. Can you just see one of us doing this at a U-11 game?

I think that the official mechanics require that when you pirouette from running frontward to running backwards, you must rotate in the direction of play.

I also have been taught that when you go to give a card, you must be on your tip toes using one foot with the other foot resting against your knee with your head thrown back. I believe this gentlemen is doing it entirely wrong.

I stand corrected. I will wait for the book except with these mechanics I believe that a dvd will be essential. I sent this to our assignor telling her that I was already practicing doing this. Maybe I will get a few less games or calls as a result this season.
