In my expereince, I've seen Basketball outlined in black, Volley ball in white. It also varies on some schools also use school colors, but Volley ball has been white.

Depending on your lighting, white lines can get lost in the glare from across the court. I'd recommend going with a darker color (like red) that will still contrast with black basketball lines.

I recommend a large Jayhawk in the middle.

May I suggest forgoing lines for basketball and just using a belt for out of bounds and using permanent 2" by 2" square floor markers for the intersections of the volleyball court bourdary lines and using removable gym tape for volleyball season.

What? That would be a pain in the neck.

The lines for basketball court and volleyball court can very easily co-exist. The biggest issue is sharing the centerline. Once that is set, the rest is easy. Just make the centerline the basketball color (usually black) and make the rest of the volleyball court red or gold or blue or white...doesn't matter.

Pain in the neck??? We're talking six pieces of tape attached to predetermined markings once a year, not rocket science.

It's incidental contact...until the referee decides it is a foul.
