I'm not too opposed to that. He's got a great bat and a decent glove. They also just picked up DeRosa from the Rangers, so that at least solidifies the infield, with Lee and Izturus. Now the just need to fill in a hole or two in the outfield, and maybe pick up another starting pitcher (or three).

Someone from New England please enlighten us. Is this Japanese pitcher supposed to be the 2nd coming of Sandy Koufax? Otherwise, why is Boston throwing some much money away just for the opportunity to try and sign him?

The Cubs are now playing baseball. The Cubs completed by far the largest deal in an already productive offseason and the richest deal in franchise history by signing coveted free-agent outfielder Alfonso Soriano to an eight-year contract believed to be worth $136 million on Monday.*:D

Now, if they can only keep pitchers off the DL.

Hey, where've you been, Mr. "Center of the Universe"?

Whatinthehell are <b>you</b> talking about, Wilbur?

<i>"Isk Tsk"</i> is a Classic Latin term. Loosely translated, it means <i>"f**king idiot"</i>.

Sigh.....I teach and I teach, but they never learn.
