I totally agree, there are more things important than officiating (did I just say that!). Please get yourself checked out, injuries happen, but do not jeapordize more by being silly and trying to push yourself back. Easy for me to say, the day I had a car accident that could have killed me, I was trying to do a game that night. Thank God for my sake the game was cancelled because of weather. I realize how addicting officiating can be, it is like a drug, but other things are more important

I understand how difficult it is to get a good college schedule. An official in our association recently went down and is chomping at the bit to get back. Don't jeopardize the rest of your career, and more importantly, your life, by officiating on this injury when you shouldn't!
