Free throw mechanics question

NCAA Women's mechanics question.

I know before the first free throw, after reporting the foul to the table, the Trail is then supposed to visually and verbally indicate the number of free throws to their partners.

Is the Trail also supposed to verbalize the number of free throws remaining prior to the second or third free throw?

BillyMac, please don't respond with "I don't know, but here's what I think", or "I wonder if".

I'm asking for a reason. I am mentoring a couple of newer NCAA-W's officials and I saw one of them do this in a game. Since I am not learned in NCAA Women's mechanics, I often ask questions about things they do and whether not they're in the book. Often times I have received conflicting or incomplete answers.

Our crew tonight gave the number on every FT. And, I didn't prompt them with this discussion or even mention the topic during pre-game.

I agree the manual could be more clear.

Maybe it's the difference between "supposed to" (in your original question) and "is required"
