IAABO Survey Says …

Disclaimer: For IAABO eyes only. Below is not a NFHS interpretation, it's only an IAABO International interpretation which obviously doesn't mean a hill of beans to most members of this Forum.

IAABO Play Commentary Correct Answer: This is incidental contact.

This is a very tough play. 60% of the individuals who responded indicated that this is incidental contact. The offensive player is driving toward the basket away from the Center official. The Lead has a good angle to view this play, which appears to be incidental contact and should not have been ruled a foul.

Here is the breakdown of the IAABO members that commented on the video: This is incidental contact 58% (including me). This is correctly ruled a foul 42%.

Been semi-offline for a couple of weeks.

I'm with Raymond...there is simply no way to tell if there was a foul or not on this play with the camera angle given. To declare otherwise would be no better than the Trail making the decision on a play all the way across the court with a bad angle.

I agree with the angles discussion, but from the camera angle I have nothing.
