No Score and Basket Interference?
NFHS SITUATION: A1 dunks and his momentum carries him under the basket. The ball proceeds halfway through the net where it strikes A1 in the head and bounces upward and out of the ring to be rebounded by another player.
RULING: No score per 5-1-1 (score when passes through the basket) and 1-10-1 (definition of basket). Basket Interference per 4-6-1, "Basket interference occurs when a player...touches the ball...while the ball is ...within either basket." Agree?
