He says that if A2 retrieves the ball, rather than A3, it is not a backcourt violation.

Am I missing something? I don't see that Team Control in the front court has been established.
Any conversation that includes one team member being allowed to retrieve the ball, but not another team member, is not a knowledge-based conversation.
