Ejection of a Coach
Head Coach is Ejected and there is no assistant available. Are there NFHS rules addressing who can takeover as coach or is this a state by state issue?
For example, can a team parent come out of the stands to coach for the remainder of the game? Can the game end immediately if there is no one available to coach? |

All Politics Is Local ...

I don't believe that the NFHS addresses this issue in any manner. Check your local listings to see if the state interscholastic sports governing body has any procedures in regard to this. In Connecticut, one had to have a state issued coaching certificate, or be a certified teacher, or administrator, to coach. Certified teachers, or administrators need first aid, concussion, and CPR training.
