Delay of Game Test Question

Our State Association has indicated they will give credit for three of the terrible questions. Until the testing period ends, there is no way to know what we scored. Consequently, I am still chasing correct answers to the test and may never know what the real answers are.

But here is one my confusions, what does everyone think is the expected NFHS answer to the DOG question, after a timeout, with "water on the floor", as one of the answers?

I know we need to protect the Part II Test, but this has been a very frustrating test year.

Sorry for the potential high-jack. Thanks to whomever fixed it.

The question was basically: Following a timeout, for which of the following may a team be issued a delay-of-game warning? Choices are, Water on the floor, Interfering with the ball following a goal, Huddle for either team and contact with the free-thrower and all of the above.

It says "following a timeout" so we know it can't be interfering with ball following a goal because your going to hand him the ball. So now we know it can't be "all of the above either. Of the remaining two I would pick water on the floor.

If I was answering that (and I don't have the books handy), I'd review the definitions or the Technical Fouls section to see which included the words "following a timeout"

Having the court not ready for play is the only dog after a TO.

I am pretty certain the NFHS considers the answer to be "All of the above". Comparing tests answers that have been submitted proves it out.

How do you "interfere with a ball following a goal" following a timeout? Just because you've compared answers with others and they believe all of above is correct does not "prove" that that is what answer the NFHS wants. I think it proves a number of people made the same mistake.

I am comparing two tests whose scores differ by one, and that is the only question with a different answer.

Sometimes I am happy we do not have to take these tests every year.

Then again, sometimes I am not as some veterans dont have a clue.

Ok. When you said comparing answers I thought you meant you just talked to a number of people as opposed to comparing graded tests. The answer should be water on court. Hopefully, they will throw that out for you.

....and questions like this are one of the reasons I've never scored 100% on the exam. Close, but never perfect.
