If I hear a whistle I take a look. If I don't hear another whistle, why would I look at my partners? That would be odd on every call I make. Smell is a sense as well, but I don't use that very often on the court.

I think the better question that no one is asking is why is the Trail looking at something in front of the C?
Does the T not trust his partner, the C, to do his job and get the call right? |

I would agree with you that transition is the only time that they should be looking at the same area of the court. If it was transition, I'm fine with either of them getting it. In transition, I just want the correct call made.

Do you have some way to turn it off? If so, tell me you're secret. There are some places I wish I could.

Yep, I have it happen often enough. It may happen even more if you have a strong solid whistle and your partner's is a bit softer and sounds inside of the time your whistle is sounding.
