That's how we do it in my little corner of Connecticut. It hasn't always been that way, but that's the way we do it now.

(It used to be Lead takes the pass, Trail takes the crash.)

It certainly should be part of any good pregame conference.

That's what I've heard as well. If the pass is within your primary, you take the ball. If the pass is out of your primary you take the crash. I'm comfortable with any official getting the crash with a cadence whistle, provided they don't signal into a blarge.

With all of the stuff I see people say should be part of a pregame conference, I'd have to get to my games 3 days early just to cover it all.

Kinda sad a lot of HS guys spend more time pregaming the 7-8 mechanics things they do differently than everyone else instead of more important things.
