Force out
Fellas I'm looking for some backup.
I think the following is a "force out" 3rd out and the run would not score. What do you think? Two outs, men on 1st and 3rd. Batter hits a ball to 2nd baseman who fields it in the base path. Instead of tossing to 1st or 2nd he waits for the runner from 1st and tags him out. While waiting the guy on 3rd crossed the plate. I think the run does not score as the runner on 1st was forced and it doesn't matter (in this case) whether he was tagged or 2nd base was tagged.

Too many people think that "force out" means "tag the base."
It means "the runner loses his right to the base" -- so your play is a force out and no runs score.
