Who were those guys?
The commenters also stated that if the umpire were hit with a thrown ball in the outfield, then it is a dead ball.
They then corrected it, but I think they left it that if a batted ball hits the umpire in the outfield, it is a dead ball.

Lousy throw. Davidson wasn't in the way of anything except E5--which happened anyway. Note how he stayed with the play and called the obstruction between 2nd and 3rd. When something weird like that happens it's easy to lose concentration, and he didn't. Nice job.

If you think that throw couldn't have been caught by a middle infielder who maintained contact with the second base bag, you're kidding yourself.
