A review of the box score indeed indicates what you said, Steve. I had just remembered that the Texas batter (Murphy) had gotten on base during that at bat (and I assumed that it had been a hit). However, that wild pitch did allow Murphy to make it to first on the uncaught 3rd strike, and also R3 scored on that wild pitch, giving Texas the lead 4 to 3. |
