As I read it, you threw the first shot.

If I went to the sb board and read a similar OP, I don't think I'd ask what "wow" meant, but I'd quote the OP and say something like, "I officiate BB, not SB. In BB, the call that was made was right (or wrong, if appropriate) -- is it the same in SB?"

That would get me the answer you say you want.

I didn't throw as shot at ANYONE... WHY would I come in looking for info and do that? It's not what I do.

and ok..maybe I didnt elaborate enough when I asked Rita for thoughts... but that in no way justifies the reaction of some of the people that responded.

DG,

Concur.

It is, however, a waste of storage capacity.

And time - which you could characterize as "personal bandwidth".

This is very funny. The whole thread had me rolling on the floor.

1. I also get thrilled when a rotation works the way it should.

2. Why wouldn't a softball umpire understand?

Well played, lawump. Both sports are excellent. I'd never be an Aussie Rules umpire, since I hate running so much.

Having been to several AFL matches, those guys have some serious stamina.

Being a cricket umpire is a LOT less movement.
