I was at the game it was like the 10th/11th (of 16 that night), and Leyland did not come out to argue the safe/out. He came to ask that Reilly get help from HP on a possible running lane violation. HP-U (whose name escapes me, the other crew members were Merriwether-2B & Diaz-3B) said he did not see any violation and when Leyland wanted to argue with him about what he saw Reilly stepped in a told him that it was his call, and that the HP-U can only give him information, but the decision is his.

How do you know what everyone said? I'm just curious, not challenging anything.

I don't know what everyone said, but how people were moving, the apparent level of frustration and the order of events seem to only fit this conclusion. I am open to other conclusions, but at this time I don't see any others.

My thought since the HP was brought into it was he was arguing interference by the BR; whether it was running lane or not, IDK. According to the box score, the HP was Eric Cooper.
